Chief Systems Architect joins CyberSecure IPS

Washington, D.C., August 1, 2019 – CyberSecure IPS today announces that Eric J. Nickel has joined the company as Chief Systems Architect.  Eric is expected to take a strategic role in driving the roadmap for the company’s future offerings in infrastructure security, with a special focus on the Operational Technology (OT) market. This market represents significant growth opportunities as the company’s value proposition is ideally suited to monitor, detect and defend multiple environments in critical infrastructure that are vulnerable to intrusion risk.   Eric will be spearheading the company’s initiatives within the OT marketplace where our solutions speak directly to growing requirements of risk management and security compliance.

Prior to CyberSecure IPS, Eric was founder of a critical infrastructure consultancy practice and Director of Technical Solutions for Chinook Systems where he developed world-class operational strategies for owners of mission-critical facilities.  Eric was also President and CEO of NETlink Communications where he managed all aspects of daily operations for a business providing advancements in transport layer solutions transitioning from legacy comms architectures to modern fiber optic platforms on high-speed networks.  He has been a sought-after industry thought leader who has worked with Department of Defense (DoD) cyber security experts Dr. Michael Chipley, PhD, GICSP, PMP, LEED AP and Daryl Haegley, OCP, CCO of OASD for Energy, Installations & Environment (EI&E).
